This also requires no specific skills and handling of the unit , operation and maintenance , etc are so simple . Practical testing showed delivery of clean water of upto 3 l/min depending on energy of the operator .

As a result of innovative research works of the RVWT experts , and the keen interest of assisting the affected rural communities , this new and simple technology is ideal for the rural areas . Collecting clean water overnight , using this kit enables getting sufficient amount of clean water good for a family of up to 10 people . Most important , it is a non-electric device , providing safe water at the rate of 20 liters approx. every 8 hours . Definitely it allows the rural population to enjoy the advantages that , until today , have been limited to urban dwellers only .

As one of the project components of the RVWT researching and discovering of sanitation facilities required for sanitary applications , will made real soon. Particularly in countries like Ethiopia where sanitation coverage is at minimum , these facilities are useful & will be made available to users of rural or urban communities . Materials such as public washing tubs , self lighted urinals and other equipment shall be adopted in villages in accordance with social interest generated by directed users and environmental condition .
